Organizing association
Slovak Small Animal Veterinary Association (SkSAVA)
was established in 1993 as the successor to the Czechoslovak Association of Small Animal Veterinarians (ČSAVLMZ). Its first president was MVDr. Gabriel Varga, who was also a co-founder of ČSAVLMZ. It was established in response to changing social conditions and the need to raise the level of awareness among members of the newly established veterinary chambers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
From the beginning (and still today), the main activity of SkSAVA, our current association, has been to organize continuing education for veterinarians who treat small animals in their practice. We strive to promote the work of our members and raise the profile of their practices through the association's website. Our members are also members of the European (FECAVA) and World (WSAVA) associations, which allows them to enjoy the benefits of membership virtually worldwide.
