Rareș Căpitan

Dr. Rareș Căpitan Dip ECVD

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Bucharest, USAMV in 2006.

Immediately after graduation he joined the Prahova Sanitary-Veterinary Department where he worked in food control and food safety at various meat processing plants in the county.

Afterwards, he spent some time in the pharmaceutical field, working and sharing his knowledge for various prestigious multinational companies including Abbott and Wyeth.

In the fall of 2009 he worked on the basis of the project Regatul Animalelor - Veterinary Services together with two other medical colleagues.

He is passionate about everything that is veterinary dermatology and wishes that in Romania veterinary dermatology services are provided to international standards.

He completed the 4-year European residency in veterinary dermatology with mentor Dr. Chiara Noli in Italy.

In 2021, after passing the European College of Veterinary Dermatology exam, he obtains the title of European Specialist Veterinary Surgeon, a title held by only 145 doctors in the EU at that time.

He is a founding member and the first president of the Romanian Society of Veterinary Dermatology.

With a remarkably intense activity, Dr. Capitan is present at numerous courses, symposia and national and international congresses, where he has made over a hundred presentations.
